Step 2. Building your professional CV

 Be consistent

The trick to a CV as to any document is to be consistent. If you promote your skill in the introduction, promote it again in the core skills and again during each job your record.

i.e.  If you are in marketing and need to prove that you have "defined a technical roadmap at the enterprise level", make sure you mention how experienced you are with this skill in the professional profile. In your the core skills area, use a specific example and again, during the current and past positions, use different examples.

Under each job you record, remember to add your achievements. If you work in a position where monetary value can be promoted, i.e. my marketing campaign produced a revenue pipeline worth ?£££$$ over a 5 year period.

If you are in control of a budget, add amounts so that your potential employer can understand what kind of sums you are used to handling, a window will do rather than an exact amount.

Your achievements paragraph under each position should promote an increase in revenue directly related to your action, even if it is a percentage increase.

If you achieved the most sales in a quarter - promote that.

Keep the message consistent
